Efficient Sustainable Electrification

Farming

Power for remote buildings, barns and ancillary facilities is a necessity for many farms. Traditionally, if a mains connection was not available or too costly, a generator has been used as an alternative power source. However running a generator 24/7 is costly in fuel and servicing costs and offers no option to vary the power dependent on load.

Our hybrid power solutions bring a cost effective option for those off grid sites. They offer a reduction in fuel and servicing costs, lower emissions, remote monitoring and the ability to link to renewables. Our EasyGrid hybrid units can be connected to new or existing generators and also have the option to connect to a solar array -reducing fuel costs & generator run time. VariPower hybrid units include a variable speed generator and as a transportable option can be moved easily between locations if needed. For larger power requirements we can also supply a containerised hybrid system built to your own requirements.

“The feeling of having our own power and water is fantastic, being independent of all services has been our dream”

EasyGrid – hybrid off grid power unit

Our EasyGrid range brings off grid power solutions to homes and businesses without a mains grid connection at a reasonable cost. Rather than having to source separate components and have a bespoke system designed, our EasyGrid series offers a pre-configured, self-contained unit built from durable, high quality components; fully tested and ready to install. The EasyGrid enclosures are made from powder coated steel; allowing them to be installed either inside or outside depending on requirements. Suitable for installation worldwide the EasyGrid range addresses off grid power needs and can be installed by a competent local electrician.

How does it work?

Our EasyGrid units connect to your solar array, they also have a connection for a generator. The EasyGrid supply utilises energy from the solar array to charge the batteries, where energy will be stored until needed. The array then tops up the batteries as the power is used. The system can also support additional loads to those listed when connected to a generator. In addition, if a generator is connected and the batteries are depleted and no solar power is available, the system will send a start signal to the generator to provide power and charge the batteries.

Available in three sizes, EasyGrid 3000Li, EasyGrid 5000Li & EasyGrid 10000Li.

EasyGrid Commercial 30kVA & 45kVA

EasyGrid 30kVA & 45kVA Hybrid Power Units featuring HEMS (Hybrid Energy Management System). Our EasyGrid commercial range offers a sustainable and efficient alternative to using a diesel generator alone on site. They help you deliver cost savings, reduce emissions and run silent power to loads when needed, all with the option of one of the most sophisticated telematics energy management systems available.

Containerised Hybrid Power System

A containerised hybrid system is ideal for those needing a large power supply. These systems are semi- bespoke and can be tailored with the following options:

  • 30kVA – 90kVA Single and Three Phase options available
  • Inverter charger with a continuous output meeting the system capacities above.
  • Diesel, water cooled, 1500 RPM (or 1800 RPM for 60 Hz applications) generator (single or three phase as appropriate) in sound enclosure with autostart control system.
  • Bunded diesel tank with mechanical and system fuel gauges.
  • Recessed connection box for outgoing power, auxiliary connections and external controls and indications.
  • Lithium Ion battery pack or Lead acid deep cycle battery bank. (Lithium system offers superior energy performance due to low battery losses and also optimises fuel consumption and generator running hours as it can be charged fast to 100%)
  • Solar ready
  • DC and AC distribution boards
  • DC lighting inside container
  • Proprietary control system (internet connection required)

Hybrid Power Improving Air Quality

An increasing concern in built up areas and construction sites are the particulate and NOx emissions from diesel generators. Our hybrid power units reduce the run time of generators substantially – therefore cutting down these emissions. Whilst a hybrid system does not stop generator use completely, they make a significant difference to the local air quality, which is a benefit for both onsite staff welfare and local residents.
