Product Information
High Voltage BMS
The Master HV is the safety and control unit for high voltage battery systems. This high voltage BMS is suitable in the range of 48 Vdc up to 900 Vdc. Each battery string requires a Master BMS. To increase the system capacity, connect multiple strings in parallel. As a result your system voltage and capacity are fully scalable.
This means: flexible in design and system integration made easier. Besides the safety and control functions, the Master HV monitors and tracks all relevant parameters to provide insight into the battery status and energy consumption. The compact design makes it ideal for use in applications with limited space.
All essential components for a safe and reliable battery system are integrated in this compact designed device.
- Integrated pre-charge circuit
- Safety contactors in positive and negative power paths
- High Voltage Interlock Loop (HVIL)
- Internal event logging
- CAN-Bus communication
- Tracking State-Of-Health and State-Of-Charge
- Monitoring of all battery parameters
High Voltage
Use the Master HV for systems of 48 Vdc up to 900 Vdc. The power connectors enable the Master HV to easily connect a series of batteries. The Amphenol PowerLok connectors are robust and have an integrated HVIL (High Voltage Interlock Loop) to monitor the connection. The low contact resistance allows for currents up to 500 A continuously.
Access to Data
The MG Master HV stores information on its internal memory with daily reports and special events, such as fail-safe triggers. Extract the recorded information from the Master HV and save it to a file with the MG Diagnostic Tool. Besides, remotely monitor and control your battery system with the MG Energy Portal. This web-based platform gives direct insight into all relevant data and essential battery parameters of your installation.
Master HV Certification
This high voltage BMS comes with the following type approvals as a standard:
- DNV-GL
- Lloyds
- ES-Trin 62619 & 62620
Protection & Control
The main function of the Master HV is protecting all connected battery modules. This high voltage BMS collects all battery data and constantly monitors essential parameters. The Master HV includes two built-in safety contactors, one in the positive and one in the negative power path. The safety contactors disconnect the batteries directly from the chargers and loads when needed.
The Master HV includes many safety features as a standard, to ensure a safe and reliable battery installation:
- Double Safety Contactor
- High Voltage Interlock Loop
- Integrated Pre-Charge Circuit
Marine is Energy Solutions’ longest established market area, since 1996 we have been working with leading OEM boatbuilders, superyacht owners, boat yards and individual sailing and motor yachts. As well as helping clients find power and control systems that fit their requirements we continually strive to introduce new, innovative products to our customers. We research, design and manufacture in house and provide new ways for our clients to attract customers and set themselves apart in terms of look, efficiency and technology. Working with products from the world’s leading manufacturers we are able to offer clients fully designed systems incorporating all elements form helm panels to tank senders.

find out moreWith service, work and recreational vehicles using an increasing amount of tools, equipment and electrical devices onboard there is a growing demand from automotive builders and owners for power & monitoring systems that offer reliable yet sophisticated capabilities. Energy Solutions provides a range of onboard power systems and services for vehicles that allow you to buy or develop the system that is right for your needs.
find out moreThe move towards net zero and a more sustainable world is driving the electrification of many vehicles and onboard equipment that would have traditionally been powered by fossil fuel combustion engines. Energy Solutions' extensive experience and engineering expertise in battery and inverter systems position us well to support and assist clients as they progress towards their own sustainability goals by developing new ways of powering their systems.
find out moreWe design and manufacture a wide range of products in our factory in the UK. We have invested in state of the art cable processing machines to allow us to automate many aspects of our production, guaranteeing quality and consistency. Our engineering department use advanced mechanical and electrical design tools to drive this process, and we use computerised testing machines to speed up loom construction and validation. We also have in-house facilities to laser cut and engrave control panels, along with 3D printing for prototyping components. None of this manufacturing would be possible without a skilled team of staff, with years of experience in complex builds.
We work with leading international manufacturers and distribute their products in order to supply our customers with a complete electrical power, monitoring and control solution. We work with some of the biggest names in each market sector and have established ourselves as a key supplier bringing new ideas and technical updates on a continual basis.
During your project, Energy Solutions will be with you every step of the way, from initial consultation to final implementation. Our engineering team will provide comprehensive drawing packages, both 2D and 3D as appropriate, and will assist during commissioning phases.
